| The Eric and Jula Isenburger Society has made its aim to open up the life work of the painter Eric Isenburger and his wife Jula to a discerning public. The flight from National Socialism in 1933 was a profound turning-point in the aspiring careers of the painter and the dancer. The work in the different periods of Eric Isenburgerīs artistic career was strongly influenced by the different places he and his wife lived in Europe and in the United States of America. All this work, and especially the dispersed works of the early periods of his artistic life should be brought together and catalogued. In addition to this, photos and texts documenting the eventful and model artistic life of the couple should be brought together with the paintings and drawings in exhibitions and publications. With your membership and donation you will be supporting the research, the archiving and the public relations work without which an extraordinary piece of contemporary history and art history might fall into oblivion. | |
